Everything we do — and how you get a price for it

Five services, each with its own page and an honest explanation of what moves the number. Whichever one you need, the process is identical: call, describe it, get a firm total before anyone drives out.

What actually moves a locksmith price

Every locksmith says "it depends." Here is what it depends on — so you know what we are going to ask before you dial.

  1. The lock or the key itself

A Grade 3 knob and a high-security deadbolt are different jobs. So are a 2004 transponder key and a proximity fob for a push-to-start car. This is the single biggest factor, and it is why we ask what you have before quoting.

  2. How many locks or keys

Doing five doors in one visit costs far less per door than doing one, because most of the cost is the trip rather than the cylinder. If you are planning ahead, do them together.

  3. Time of day

Nights, weekends and holidays carry a surcharge — as they do in every trade. We tell you that number on the phone at the moment you call, not when we hand you the bill.

  4. Whether the lock can be opened without damage

Non-destructive opening is cheaper for you and it is what we attempt first. Drilling costs more because it means replacement hardware, so it is a last resort rather than an opening move.
